Kabe (iOS app)

日本語 · Support

Summary

This policy applies to "Kabe", an iOS app provided by independent developer Yutaro Hayashi, and to this website.

1. Information we do not collect

Kabe requires no account, and every feature works without signing up. Your app groups, blocking rules, pending-change state, focus session state, and settings are all stored on your device.

The developer operates no servers, so there is no mechanism by which the app could send personal data anywhere. Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, and device identifiers are never collected.

2. Use of Screen Time (Family Controls)

Kabe blocks apps using Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity). The app asks for Screen Time authorization on first launch; this permission is used solely to block apps on your own device.

By Apple's design, the apps you select for blocking are represented as opaque tokens. No third party — including the developer — can learn which apps you selected, and that information never leaves your device. The developer likewise receives no Screen Time statistics such as how long you use an app.

3. Tracking and advertising

No analytics SDK, A/B testing platform, advertising identifier (IDFA), or ad network is integrated. The app shows no ads. It uses no third-party SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Location

Location access is never requested, obtained, or used.

5. Purchase information

The Pro upgrade is purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment; the developer never receives your credit card number, address, Apple ID, or any other payment information. Purchase status is verified on your device through Apple's StoreKit.

6. Information Apple provides to the developer

Through App Store Connect, Apple provides the developer with statistics such as download counts, sales, and crash reports. These are aggregated and do not identify individuals, and some of them — crash reports, for example — are provided only if you have enabled "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings. The developer has no other means of learning how the app is used.

7. Feedback form

The feedback form linked from the app and from the support page on this site is hosted on Google Forms (Google LLC). Anything you enter there is handled under Google's privacy policy. The form does not ask for personal information such as your name or email address.

8. If you contact us

If you email support, the developer receives your message and the sending email address. Email is received via Gmail (Google LLC).

What you send is used only to answer your inquiry and to address the issue afterwards. It is never used for marketing or provided to third parties, and it is deleted once it is no longer needed. If you would like it deleted sooner, just let us know.

9. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, no personal data is collected from children either.

10. Deleting your data and your rights

Your app data lives on your device and the developer holds none of it, so deletion is entirely in your hands.

Because the developer holds no account for you, there is nothing to cancel and no data request to file. The only exception is an inquiry email you have already sent — contact us at the address below if you would like it deleted.

11. About this website

This page is served by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). GitHub may record information such as IP addresses when the page is served. The developer does not receive those access logs. This site uses no analytics and no tracking cookies.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page along with the date of the update. The version shown here is always the current one.
